The Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) is a non profit organization founded in 1969. JIPM has developed over decades TPM methodologies and concepts. Since the sixties they have worked promoting efficient maintenance models, applicable to all kind of industry.

The JIPM registered the term TPM® as a trademark. In most of the countries in Europe and America, JIPM owns the registered rights of the trademark. 

Respectfully to the JIPM policies and rules about international intellectual property, this site uses the TPM term in every issue, considering and acknowledging that TPM is a registered trademark of JIPM.

Every time that this site makes reference to this expression, is necessary take in count that is a trademark of JIP; not a generic name.
